The Snapper cast, where are they now? Irish film takes centre stage in RTE's Back to Barrytown
Back to Barrytown continues this Sunday on RTÉ with an affectionate look back at the second book and film in the famous Roddy Doyle trilogy, The Snapper.
The second story in the saga tells the story of young Sharon Curley (Sharon Rabbitte in the book), a supermarket worker who finds herself facing a crisis pregnancy.
Hosted by Colm Meaney, who appeared in all three movies, the show will see interviews with the director Stephen Frears as well as author Roddy Doyle and some of the cast.
The Rabbitte family had an identity crisis by the time the second movie came around and their name was changed to Curley as 20th Century Fox owns the rights to the Rabbitte name from The Commitments but it is very much the same family and the same world.
