Biography of Jessalyn Gilsig
Jessalyn Gilsig (born November 30, 1971) is a Canadian actress, best known for her roles in the television series 'Boston Public', 'Nip/Tuck', and 'Glee'.
She has also appeared in several episodes of 'NYPD Blue', 'Prison Break', and 'Heroes'.
Early Life and Education
Gilsig was born in Montreal, Quebec. Her mother, Clara, was a writer and translator, and her father, Toby Gilsig, was an engineer.
Wyatt mathewsonShe began acting at the age of twelve while attending Trafalgar School for Girls in Montreal. She later studied at the American Repertory Theater at Harvard University. In 1989, she enrolled at McGill University and graduated four years later with an English degree.

After moving to New York in 1995, Gilsig appeared in several off-Broadway plays.
