The Miss World '99, 5 feet 11 inches tall Yukta Mookhey was born in 1977 to Mrs.Aruna and Mr.Inderlal. Yuktas mother Aruna runs a grooming workshop, Swiss Chalet, at Santa Cruz here while her father Inderlal is the managing director of Ragz Clothing Company.

A third year student of zoology at Mumbai's Kelkar College, Yukta has also won a number of essay and public speaking competitions and is looking to a career in mass communications and computer graphics.
